We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you be responsible for an array of mechanical repairs to heavy-duty diesel vehicles such as hydraulic hammer repair, electrical system maintenance and repair, and dealing with hydraulic systems. Ultimately, you will ensure that all equipment meets the required standards and regulations. At Machinery Northwest, we prioritize our team members and offer continued professional development.
This role is responsible for:
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to test mechanical, electrical and electronic problems in equipment.
- Troubleshooting systems – for example: hydraulic, electrical & mechanical of all equipment and determining faults and extent of repair.
- Inspect and test equipment, repair and replace mechanical units, and test and adjust units to proper specifications.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service, and advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
- Install new and added-on equipment.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturer specifications.
- Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and techniques.

Requirements for this position include:
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with heavy equipment
- High school diploma
- Diesel technology certification recommended
- Possess a valid driver's license (travel may be required)
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics, electrical and engine repair
- Strong diagnostic capabilities
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Must provide own tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Resourceful and focused, willing to learn new skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:
🗓️ Full Time - 40 hours per week
🚛 Will be required to travel

Salary: $28.00 - $50..00/hr
